“Jumping quickly at opportunities is a better form of exercise than jumping to conclusions, pushing my luck, and dodging deadlines."
The process is typically conducted during a one-day workshop. Duration depends on the group and the objectives to be reached.
A small group might need half a day, bigger group may need two.
We highly recommend including the follow-up extension to coach your team how to translate the findings into positive actions with timeline for deliveries.
"In Your Shoes"
An advanced Peak Performance through Positive Transformation program.
It is well-researched fact that leaders who are confident enough to be vulnerable, admit the areas that they need help with get higher degree of engagement, helpfulness and collaboration from their team and peers than the "rock star" leaders who know it all.
In this workshop, participants will have a chance to be in the shows of their colleagues. In that role play they will try to suggest new ideas what would they have done had they were in that position. They receive feedback and counter suggestions from other members on these ideas. The last person to speak is "owner of the shoes", sharing constrains and embracing ideas that can benefit all as well seek for help to implement them.
As your team had graduated earlier our Positive Transformation leadership program, there is a much higher level of trust, acceptance and authenticity. Your team will lower barriers and masks in the "Fear Factor" session when leaders will lead by example sharing fears and give legitimacy to gentle honesty. Positive appreciative criticism that is factual and not personal. Mastered with care by experienced certified facilitators, much of the deep issues will surface in a safe, polite and non-confrontational way.
THE PROCESS WILL ENABLE:
"In Your Shoes" (TM) can be a delicate process, discussing real issues and confront them may be perceived as a threat resulting with defensive non productive reactions.
Like a surgery, we recommend taking "anaesthesia" beforehand, to minimize negative effect of criticism, especially if there are old unresolved issues that invoke painful feeling, mistrust as well as with powerful leaders who are not gifted with diplomacy.
We highly recommend to hold "Joy-Care Leadership" workshop at least one day before hand when people feel more connected as humans, accepting and trusting. They will use the tools they will experience such as appreciation, recognition, kindness, helpfulness, empathy and total listening.
