Annemarie STEEN (MA), our Chief Playfulness Officer, is a creative, playful and passionate educator. She travels the world to speak and inspire ( watch her TEDxTallaght talk) , she teaches, trains and facilitates Positive and Creative Leadership courses.
She started working as an actress for Dutch television at the age of 13. She played lead roles in several youth series, a womens prison and a german movie. After graduating in Film- & Television studies (MA), she went tourleading in India and Nepal, where she discovered her natural abilities to connect to a large variety of people and cultures.
In 1998 Annemarie started working as a self employed trainer with DOOR Training & Consulting, delivering training in sales, management and leadership (7 habits). After experiencing a burn-out in 2002, she rediscovered the power of Play and went on a quest to live a more playful life. This finally led to finding her mission in life; to invite adults to leave their comfortzone and enter their playzone, where deep learning takes place (while having fun at the same time). She has put this in practice since 2010 with her own company SteenTrain, then with us.
As a life long learner, Annemarie likes to self study Positive Psychology, Leadership and everything exciting and new under the sun. She is a member of the Applied Improvisation Network and is currently guestlecturer (in a playful way) at Fontys Academy for Creative Industries, the Estonian Business School and at THNK.
